Decisions, Decisions, Revisions

by Megan Frampton on June 4, 2006

WHAT TO READ?!? I started a will-not-reveal-the-title book with characters that were as flat as me in fifth grade. The only thing I know about these two people are that they are both very attractive. And I can empathize with them–how?

(No, I really won’t say whose book it is. I know that’s wimpy and lame, but that’s how I roll.)

The Sharpe series is on BBC America, and I have the first two episodes taped, and I should read more in the series so I don’t see the pertinent episode until after I’ve read the book, but–insert whiny tone here–I don’t feel like it. I want something light, and fun, and delicious. Not Cornwell‘s steez at all.

(I just finished another Tara Janzen Crazy book. I love her voice. I love her action, and her heroes, and the descriptions of the cars. Love them. I want something like that, only not contemporary. Yes, I am picky. So?)

I plan on starting the revisions process on Tuesday. First, as Jenna Peterson suggests, I am going to read it through in its entirety without taking notes, or edits, or anything. Just for the story. It might kill me. Will report back on that. Unless it actually has killed me, in which case no reportage will be possible.

Wish me luck,

Megan

PS: The painting here is apropos of nothing, except I love John Singer Sargent.
