This week I’ll be finishing a) the first three chapters of Road To Passion and b) the last 100 pp. of a friend’s manuscript. Not to mention c) continuing on the Megan Diet’n'Exercise Plan (I had lost six pounds, but then the weekend happened. Le sigh.) which derailed over the weekend (celebratory peanut butter pie? Bring it on!).

Other than that, I am dull as mud.

I cannot WAIT to see Children of Men*: Not only does it star the Megan-obsession Clive Owen, but it is based on a book by P.D. James, whom I love. My book club read CoM and it is different from James’s usual work–not a mystery, but futuristic sci-fi (uh, Megan? What other kind of sci-fi is there?). James is a fabulous writer, even if she uses words I don’t understand a la A.S. Byatt and Barbara Hambly.

And this week I’ll finish reading Naomi Novik‘s Throne of Jade, then treating myself to J.R. Ward‘s Lover Awakened. Can you believe I have waited this long?!?

Thanks for visiting, now maybe you’d like to go watch some paint dry.

I liked Throne of Jade.

Black Powder War is slooowing down a touch. If it doesn’t pick up soon, it’s going to be a DNF.

Still haven’t read Lover Awakened–Be the Last on Your Block!!

I love Sci-fi movies so I’m sooo very in for this. By the way, I saw his recent one with Denzel Washington….dang I can’t remember the name and it was awesome! You know, in case you have some peanut butter pie still around. Movie and pie. Mmmmmm.

Hee, I haven’t read Dark Lover yet.

I don’t know how I’m holding out (mostly, I guess, because I made my sister take it off my bookshelf so that I wouldn’t give in).

I’m in the mood for a good sci-fi. I was thinking I’ve read that book, but now I don’t see it on my shelves. Hmmm…will have to see at the library.

And I’m trying very hard not to think about peanut butter pie.
