Six Unimportant Facts About Me:
1. I have a fantasy of traveling the United States in an RV after retirement.
2. My mom used to make me tithe my Halloween candy to her, half for her, half for me. I still hold a grudge.
3. My New Hampshire babysitter won the Caldecott Award.
4. My alarm is set for 7:04.
5. I love Gustav Klimt.
6. My dad told me Santa really wanted a beer and cigarettes on Christmas Eve, so that’s what I left every year. Camels and PBR.

I’m tagging Cindy, SandyL (glad to see you back!), Tracy, Amanda, LLB, and Kristie. Leave the meme in comments if you don’t have your own spot to do it in.

Six unimportant things about me.
1. My oldest son who just turned 14 last month is now officially taller than me. And I am not short.
2. If anyone mentions “Class of 2012″ I feel physically sick. (See above.)
3. Kwane is right. Only Hellman’s mayonnaise should be on a BLT. My husband once threatened to divorce me when I bought Kraft mayonnaise (geez, it wasn’t the sweet stuff!).
4. I like to knit and crochet, although I’ve never made either a sweater or a pair of socks. Right now, I’m knitting a shawl.
5. I live within 10 miles of Nora Roberts. However, I have no clue where she lives in the county. Her husband has a nice bookstore, though.
6. I once bought a critique from HelenKay Dimon (who writes wonderful books), but I have yet to cash it in. Hopefully, Ms. Dimon is very patient. Hence, I have signed onto the 70 Days of Sweat for a third time.
Thanks Megan for the opportunity. I’ll go tag each of my kids twice. They have enough energy (and opinions) for two people each.

Megan, I love the beer and ciggs Christmas tradition! So funny. Now I have to go and look up Gustav Klimt.
Sandy, I’m a knitter too and socks are a breeze to make. Give it a try. I wish I could do some with patterns. I’m not that advanced.

I swear if I had kids Megan, that’s what I would do! Love Gustav Klimt as well. The Neue Galerie in Manhattan is having a Klimt exhibition but it’s not worth the $15.00 except to look at the Adele Bauer painting.

Your dad was fabulous.
I did mine!

Thanks, SandyL, and I am just waiting for the Eight Year Old to be taller than me–I’m 5′6″, which isn’t short, but not tall, especially since Daddy is 6′1″.
Yeah, I don’t think I mentioned the beer and cigarette thing while Dad was alive because he’d feel bad about it, but I always thought it was funny. Of course I knew who Santa was, given that choice of Xmas Eve leavings.

1) I sometimes like to buy “Teen Vogue”
2) I also like to watch the “Gossip Girl” show (though I don’t like the books, I luv the show!), and I really envy Blair Waldorf’s hair. Does this combined with #1 mean I’m still 14 inside?
3) I’ve only had to wear a cast once in my life, when I broke my wrist rollerskating in 5th grade
4) Speaking of 5, I wear a size 5 shoe. It’s really hard to find high-heeled strappy sandals in a 5.
5) I had my first published work, a short story about a bunch of fruit that comes to life, in a children’s magazine when I was 8. I never got over it.
6) Hmmmm–it’s hard to find 6. I know-in high school I played Juliet in the school play. Never got over that, either.

Amanda:
My friend wears a size 5, too, she buys in the kids’ section. And I only ever had one cast in my life, too!
I had my first publication when I was about 7, I drew a butterfly for Cricket Magazine.
