Stone Soup
This is the backyard, as seen through the living room doors that lead to the deck. The deck is that metally thingie just prior to the stones, rocks, random bushes, and general rumpus of the backyard. Once the deck is finished (black steel, concrete and Brazilian ipe), we will work on the backyard, which will not have the big pile of rocks, will have HVAC units and will have fewer trees. But–and this is the awesome part–we will have a backyard! I haven’t had a backyard since living in New Hampshire. We moved to Cambridge when I was entering seventh grade, so it’s been a long time.
Not to mention I’ve been doing laundry at a laundromat for over 30 years. I cannot WAIT to have my own.

OMG Megan! You’re going to leave behind the laundromat for your own washer and dryer?! You will be in heaven. I got my own washer and dryer four years ago and it changed my life! LOL

Ohhh, a backyard where you can lay on your back and look up at the stars! Can’t believe you’ve been without one for so long but then I was never a city dweller. I’m thinking order in at anytime would be a nice trade

megan,
as an artist, i can just visualize the garden an oasis, especially for a writer and the laundry a sanctuary for good - clean - fun!

Life will begin anew for you once you use your new washer and dryer. Laundry bliss, if there is such a thing.

I can’t imagine using a laundromat for 30 years. I’m still scarred from the four years I used it as an undergrad and two years as a grad student.
You’re going to love it.
