Perspective, With Pictures
So, honestly, for anyone who’s moved, how long does it take until everything is done? Should we be feeling like big losers because there are still boxes in the dining room? And many, many things in the basement? It’s been a month, and in that time, we’ve been working on things (and working, and working, and–), but it still isn’t where we think it oughta be. Are we deluded? Or losers? Either way, it’s not good.

Take this with love. You are CRAZY! One month? I’m going on 3 years and still have some boxes in the basement that may never be unpacked. Moving is hard work. How many years did you live in your aparment? These things take time. It will all work out and even then there may still be boxes in the basement.

Ditto to what Kwana said. I have boxes in the basement after three years of living in this house, as well. In fact, I was just telling someone earlier this afternoon that we only finally put up curtains in our living room last week. Yes, I did say we’ve lived here 3 years. We had blinds on the main windows, two small side windows that just got blinds a month ago, and all the windows just had curtains hung last week.
So, um, don’t feel too bad

Ditto what every one else said. 2 years, many boxes and revolving renos because the hubby’s gone crazy. Ooops. I said that out loud.

Hmm, who was President when you moved into your last place? Was it Bush 1? I am guess that your last address was the one you held for the longest, by far, in your life. Considering all this, you should not be hard on yourself about unpacking slowly.
