So a few years ago (three? four?) I went to the National RWA Conference. There, I met Kwana, who was a fellow member of the NYC chapter. We hit it off immediately, referencing Kool & The Gang, our dislike of most people, and sharing our lame ’80s slang.
Now, Kwana is one of my closest friends; we talk on the phone at least every other day or so, sometimes more, and we have each others’ backs. What else can you ask for in a friend?
And today is HER BIRTHDAY! So yay, Kwana, happy birthday!
