The Spouse just made his famous beer-brined pork chops, an orzo salad with hothouse cucumbers and dill, butter and white-wine steamed carrots and the sangria that brought me down so evilly the other night.
Tonight, not so much. I will MASTER the sangria, and wake up with only a tiny headache.
I can’t believe RWA-SF is so close. What do I wear? What do I do? Who will I see? How many times will I embarrass myself (I am going to work on that, it is not becoming in A Woman of My Age).
And the agent will be going out with the book soon. Double yay! A career, maybe?!?
Meanwhile, I am still the favorite member of the maternal family, so the sangria didn’t cause too much embarrassment.
I probably won’t be posting over the weekend, back in Brooklyn on Sunday evening. I loved Elizabeth Hoyt‘s To Taste Temptation; I know the Delightful Phone Friend did, too, anyone else?

Damn. I wish my man would cook. Okay, I wish my man would cook something I would eat.
And I think everyone is nervous about RWA from the blogs I’ve been reading. So chin up, get out from behind the potted plant (get Meljean, Katie(babs), Rosie and whoever else crammed in there with you) and take the place by storm. Professional in those moments and letting loose when it’s party time.
Terrific news on that agent and book!

Yes–I loved To Taste Temptation as well. Good stuff!
I can’t believe how quickly the time to RWA has flown. I’ll see you next week. !
