I think that's what their saying to the media, but I think this is a grab for the most extremely conservative core of the Republican party. "Get out your base!" I think that Mitt Romney wasn't conservative enough, and a lot of the evangelicals were horrified that Romney is Mormon. Regardless of her gender, I think Palin *WAS* chosen for her beliefs. I went to a school run by Episcopalian nuns, and there was no attempt to teach us about creationism. We learned evolution. If they want to learn creation science or whatever, go a Christian right school where they teach that crap. If McCain thought that all of Hillary Clinton's supporters were just going to jump on his bandwagon because he picked a woman, then he's got early stage Alzheimer's.
