Again With the Politics

From Giuliani’s speech:

“On the other hand, you have a resume from a gifted man with an Ivy League education.”

What is so wrong about electing a President who’s an intellectual? Don’t we want a smart person in charge of the country?

[looking at who we've elected lately] Oh. I guess not.

Just: Grr.

Also: Trying to write when I’m shaking my head at the TV is very difficult.

As I recall, the present Pres. has an Ivy League education too. Is he gifted? He and his Pres. dad both went to Phillips Andover Academy (Mass.) for prep school, and then to Yale. The present Pres. later got an MBA from Harvard. Not bad for a guy who describes himself as a life long C student.

The present VP was kicked out of Yale, twice. I think he finished his college degree in Wyoming.

Sen. Obama’s resume might seem short to some folks, but he is MORE than educated and gifted. Such folks ought to consider that for the past year he has run nationally the most incredible campaign in living memory, it has won him the nomination of the one of the two parties, and made him the favorite in the general election. It is a remarkable and unlikely accomplishment. It shouts “executive experience.”

22 months ago when Sarah Palin first became Gov. of Alaska, she had better odds for becoming Pres. in 2009 than Obama. So yeah, Giuliani, Obama is gifted and educated, he has lately also way over achieved, and gone beyond expectations.

Hey Giulliani, did you vett Bernie Kierick as much as John McCain vetted Gov. Palin?

Please don’t get me started. I could have jumped through the tv at him. The line that really got to me was from Palin putting down Barack for being a community organizer. What’s wrong with serving people for the greater good? Grrrr!

Yeah, we don’t want someone SMART dealing with China and Russia and healthcare. That would be terrible. Sigh. When did ignorance become something to strive for in politics?

I tried to watch the RNC speeches, but I just couldn’t do it. I had to turn them off and read about them the next day.

Kwana – do you watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart? I just about coughed up a lung laughing when he brought that up.
Basically to all you who do community service – F*CK YOU!
