Yesterday, the Nicknameless Friend and I went to MOMA for Free Friday. There, we saw an exhibition by the German artist Ernst Kirchner. I suggest you hie on over to the Alpha Dog‘s blog for thoughts on that, since the extent of my art criticism is:
Hey, that’s neat.
And if I’m really feeling like getting in-depth, I’ll say:
I like those colors.
And then we met said AD for dinner and beer. Fun!
Today, the NF and I are watching North and South–her first time–and later watching Diane Lane‘s first movie, Ladies and Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains. The Spouse had an early obsession with the movie (Hello? A young Diane Lane?!?), and is psyched to watch it with us tonight.

Sounds like a very good Saturday. Please let up know what NF thinks of North and South.
Yes. Let us know what she thinks of Ratface.
“Ladies and Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains” was Diane Lane’s 3rd film. “A Little Romance” was her 1st when she was 12 or 13 years old. Enjoy the movie!
It’snow on DVD too! With LOADS of extras including a hilarious Diane Lane commentary!

Ratface? Ratface. Ratface!?
Hey, that’s a neat painting. I like the colors, too.
Hi Liz. Yes. Ratface.
Grrrrrrr.
Yes, I agree that “A Little Romance†was an earlier Diane Lane film. It is good, and she is good in it.
You know, right after I wrote that, I IMDBed Lane, and saw that it wasn’t her first movie. And worried because I was wrong, but didn’t have time to fix. And I was right to worry! I hate being wrong!
And Liz, Myretta’s disdain for RA just means there’s more gushing room for us. She has dibs on Colin Firth anyway.
