Name Suggestion. There is a type of parrot called a hyacinth macaw. A good pun character name would be Hyacinth McGraw. It would fit a character that is parrot like, repeats phrases, eats crackers or biscuits, gets treats, and such. It is also good for any character associated with pirates. It could be used as a name for the sidekick of a colorful or eccentric type.
Other than Long John Silver’s bird in Treasure Island, I can’t think of any parrots in literature. Robinson Crusoe is often depicted with a parrot, but I don’t recall one in the novel. Parrots are often used in spoofs of mystery stories, this suggests that they might actually be in some mystery stories. The TV cop Berretta had a pet parrot, I think it was a sulfur crest cockatoo. The name Hyacinth McGraw would allow an author to make a human character based on famous bird, if any famous birds can be found.
Happy Halloween!

and party everyday.
