Frampton PSA

Today I am wearing red snakeskin boots and black velvet pants. Not so much to prove that Shoulder Guy was wrong when he said I looked like a mom in her 40s (meaning to insult me, natch), but because it is cold in the house and I am too cheap to raise the heat just for me. And I’m about to go slog out in the rain, so red snakeskin seem like the way to go. Black velvet is always cozy.

In related news, one of my young-ish relatives (20s) said I had distinct way of dressing. If ‘distinct’ means odd, then I think I do.

    AWESOME!

Hey, I totally forgot I have two pairs of velvet pants. ‘Tis the season!

Sadly, I do not own red snakeskin boots.

Who is this Shoulder Guy? That outfit sounds so hot. I need to step up my game.

I actually do think I look kinda weird in execution, description does sound awesome. And Kwana, Shoulder Guy is: http://facetiae.blogspot.com/ . He’s my dad friend from the son’s school.

Red snakeskin. That’s almost better than the pirate boot stilettos. Might actually be better. Why do you care what someone called The Shoulder Guy says? He’s obviously lame-o. He’s probably hot for you and trying to make it so you don’t figure it out.

Yikes. I don’t read the blog for a weeknd and look what is being said.
In my recollection, the comment was made because MF was being down on herself (surprise, surprise) and I wanted to put things in perspective. (In case you didn’t know, looking like a mom in her forties is entirely appropriate for someone who is a mom in her forties.)

Yes, I should add that Shoulder Guy frequently makes fun of my and my idiosyncracies. He’s awesome at making me realize just what an idiot I can be. And he is happily married, with no designs on my person at all, except perhaps to want to smack me on the nose because I’ve cast him in an inaccurate light.
