So much for being more consistent about posting here–as you can see, I have not.
I have no excuse, either. I am busy working at Heroes and Heartbreakers, where I post many times a day, and I tweet and do other social networking things–I just can’t seem to make it over here.
Okay, to catch y’all up:
–the recipes for Vanity Fare will be turned in tomorrow, then I am really, really done with the book–until it gets released.
–hopefully some good news about other of my writings. We’ll see, the Fabulous Agent is being, well, fabulous in her endeavors.
–I have braces on both top and bottom teeth. Makes eating hard. Which I guess is good, since I am also trying to lose what I call Macmillan weight, which is weight I’ve gained since taking an almost full-time job at Macmillan. But braces mean I can’t eat carrots with impunity. There is plenty of punity with the carrot-eating.
–And…that is about it. I really do like blogging, I miss it, but I just haven’t had time. Maybe soon, I hope?
Meanwhile, that’s what’s up. Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, it is 11 days into the New Year, but that’s okay. Because look what I can say!
–the revisions were absolutely and completely accepted for the book that will be titled Vanity Fare by me under the pseudonym Megan Caldwell.
–I’m working with a chef to create recipes to be included with the book. So nobody will have to cook up the lame stuff I could possibly create!
–I am loving my Kindle. I completely did a 180 (and doesn’t it crack you up when people say 360, because that just means no change at all?), and am now e-reading all of the time. The library has a big part of that–they lend out e-books now, which means I don’t have to go physically pick it up. And yes, I donate money to both of my libraries (Brooklyn Public Library and New York Public Library) each year for the joy I get out of their services.
–I got to go to Le Bernardin, the New York restaurant owned by Eric Ripert, the foxiest silver fox I know. Plus that French accent! I wore a bright red jacket, and we sat in the middle of the room, and that was cool, since mostly everyone else was wearing black. I felt like I was starring in a movie! The food was amazing. Like lick-the-plate amazing. Dream of it amazing.
–Work is great. I love my job. I am also tired a lot of the time, so I’ve developed a bad habit of napping after work. I have to break that habit, it just means I don’t get everything done I need to. On the other hand–napping!
–
I will be attending TWO writers’ conferences in April–the first in New England, with the Delightful Phone Friend Myretta, and the next the Romantic Times Conference, where I’ll see Amanda McCabe and other writer friends, and get to meet Robin, who’s my Reading Twin.

I am a huge one for making resolutions in the New Year (not to mention, actually, making resolutions on the first of each month–that’s how nutty I am).
So my 2012 Vow is to return here in regular fashion, even if all I blog about is how tired I am, how great my job is, and how much I need to lose weight. Ahem.
Meanwhile, I will stay away, likely, until 2012 (not that I’ve been here in an AGE!), but then will try to keep my resolution–I love blogging, I love sharing with people, I just haven’t had the time (because of my great job), not to mention I’m so tired.
See what I did there?
So have a happy holiday season and a joyful New Year!

So this week I received the second round of revisions from my New Editor (until I get used to it, which is to say never, I will be capitalizing New Editor for the joy of it all).
Not too bad, and I hope to finish in about a week. Meanwhile, I’ve finished revising the first five chapters of the never-ending opium-addicted Marquess and his illegitimate vicar’s daughter bride book (the Regency-set historical, not a contemporary, in case you were confused), and I hope to send that along to the Fabulous Agent soon.
And…this week Thanksgiving, which means I don’t have to cook! Yay! Or do cleaning! Yay! And perhaps can get more sleep. YAYAYAYAYAY!
Over at HeroesandHeartbreakers.com, we’ll be having some Thanksgiving content, although we could not find a picture of a sexy pilgrim. Go figure.

This is what I’ve been hinting at lately; the deal has just been finalized:
Megan Frampton writing as Megan Caldwell’s VANITY FARE, about a 40-year-old Brooklyn mother, recently divorced with a son, who starts writing copy for a bakery, discovers a knack for food-related literary puns, and becomes entangled in a love triangle, to Wendy Lee at William Morrow, in a nice deal, by Louise Fury at L. Perkins Agency (World).
The book will come out in trade paperback at the end of next year. The second round of revisions is done, so hopefully there won’t be too much work left to do on it. I’m all excited, and still can’t believe it, and glad someone besides my friends will be able to read it.
Yay!
